Comprehensive terms and conditions for all repair services provided by Repair Room LTD. Please read these terms carefully before authorising any repair work.

These terms apply to all repair services provided by Repair Room LTD. By signing this agreement or authorising service, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of the following terms.

These terms apply to all repair services provided by Repair Room LTD. By signing this agreement or authorising service, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of the following terms.

Repair Process & Scheduling

Repairs are prioritised based on fault complexity, part availability, technician capacity, and diagnostics. While we aim to complete work promptly, no fixed turnaround time is guaranteed.

An optional Expedited Service is available for an additional fee, prioritising your ticket in the workflow. This does not guarantee same-day repair.

Parts & Warranty Summary

We use a range of parts depending on availability, pricing, and customer preference. Each part type has a specific warranty duration:

Important: We do not test or verify customer-supplied parts. They are fitted at your own risk.

Liquid Damage (Important)

CRITICAL: Any signs of past or present liquid exposure will void all warranties on the device, including:

  • Active warranties from previous repairs
  • Any future warranty coverage

Repairs on liquid-damaged devices are carried out on a best-effort basis only. Due to the nature of corrosion, these devices may experience recurring or progressive faults beyond our control.

Signs of Liquid Damage

Signs of liquid damage include, but are not limited to:

  • Corrosion or oxidation
  • Active liquid contact indicators (LCIs)
  • Moisture, staining, or residue inside the device

Repair Risk Acknowledgement

You acknowledge that any repair—especially on cracked, aged, glued, or previously repaired devices—carries inherent risk, including:

  • Screen or housing breakage
  • Battery damage
  • Functionality loss

Negligence refers to provable technician error or disregard for established procedures.Repair Room LTD is not liable for unavoidable consequences due to device fragility or prior damage.

Warranty Coverage

Parts Warranty

We warrant that all parts supplied under this agreement shall be free from manufacturing defects for the following periods from completion of the repair:

  • OEM parts: 12 months
  • Aftermarket parts: 6 months
  • Used or refurbished parts: 6 months

Workmanship Warranty

We warrant our workmanship (labour) for 3 months from repair completion. If a fitted part fails within its warranty period due to defect, or the repair fails due to faulty workmanship, we will repair or replace it at no charge.

Customer-Supplied Parts

Customer-supplied parts carry no parts warranty. Labour is warrantied for 3 months.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or consumables
  • Accidental damage, misuse, or third-party modification
  • Software or data-related faults, or battery degradation (unless replaced)
  • Tampering, seal removal, or identifiers being altered
  • Issues reported more than 14 days after symptoms first appear

Warranty Claims Process

To make a warranty claim:

  • Return the device with your ticket number and receipt
  • Raise the issue promptly
  • Allow inspection before coverage is confirmed

Diagnostics & Deposits

Diagnostic Fees

Diagnostic fees are non-refundable if:

  • No fault is found
  • Repair is declined
  • Parts were reserved or fitted

Deposits

Deposits may apply to custom jobs, fragile devices, or part orders.

Payment Terms & Storage Fees

  • Payment is due upon collection, unless agreed in writing
  • Devices left unpaid or uncollected for more than 14 days may incur storage fees
  • Storage fees begin at £1/day
  • After 60 days, uncollected devices will be disposed of under our UPH (Unreachable Property Hold) policy

Collection & CLEAR Protocol

Uncollected Devices

Uncollected devices:

  • Trigger our CLEAR Protocol after 7 days
  • Receive at least 3 contact attempts
  • May be wiped and securely disposed of after 30 days

Important: After 60 days, ownership and data rights are waived. Disposal follows the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.

Data Responsibility (Backup Required)

CRITICAL: We do not:

  • Access or back up user data
  • Guarantee data integrity or recovery

Customers must back up their devices before service. We retain only name, contact details, and ticket history under UK GDPR.

Shipping & Packaging

If you ship a device to us:

  • You are responsible for secure packaging
  • We are not liable for transit damage/loss unless insured
  • Returns are shipped via tracked services

Software Limitations

We do not:

  • Bypass iCloud, FRP, or account locks
  • Modify IMEI or serials
  • Recover or use unlicensed software

Testing may require credentials. We are not responsible for post-repair lockouts.

CCTV & Internal Monitoring

Repair Room LTD premises are monitored via CCTV. Some benches may record diagnostic steps for training or documentation.

Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse service in cases of:

  • Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour
  • Safety, ethical, or legal concerns
  • Suspected fraud or false ownership

Customer Ownership Declaration

By booking a repair, you confirm:

  • You legally own the device or have authorisation
  • The device is not stolen or under dispute

Repair Photos & Logs

We may take photos or logs:

  • Before, during, and after repair
  • For documentation, training, or warranty evidence

Communication Disclaimer

Only written documentation (ticket, email, or invoice) is binding. Verbal statements do not override written terms.

Prohibited Services

We do not:

  • Unlock or modify software using unofficial tools
  • Alter serials, IMEIs, or manufacturer identifiers
  • Circumvent security or network restrictions

Such requests may be refused or reported.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Loss of income, business, or opportunity
  • Data loss
  • Reduced resale value

Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the repair or diagnostic fee paid.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Repair Room LTD harmless from any claim, cost, or legal issue arising from:

  • Misuse or resale of the device
  • Breach of these terms
  • Third-party claims

Dispute Resolution

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If a dispute arises:

  • Contact us for informal resolution
  • If unresolved, escalate to Trading Standards or an authorised UK ADR scheme
